Kitesurfari from Tobago to the Grenadines and back to Tobago (8 Days / 7 Nights)

This is a sample itinerary. Weather or other outside factors may mean that your skipper sets an alternative course.

Arrival Day / Kitesurfari Day 1: Meet your captain and yacht in the magnificent settings of the Lagoon Lodge at 9.30am. After settling in your cabin, the whole crew will be heading to Scarborough to clear out with customs and immigration. We will usually have lunch there. When back onboard, the captain will quickly brief you on the safety aspects of sailing such a yacht in the Caribbean Sea. You should get your sea legs on a short sail to Pigeon Point where you will have a chance to sample some flat water riding and maybe, some wave action if the swell is up. Dinner is planned onboard before sailing out to sea: departure at about 8pm. The journey to Union Island in  the Grenadines is about 12 hours on a reach.

Kitesurfari Day 2: Breakfast in Union, while the captain is going clear customs and immigration, you can ride the turquoise water of the lagoon in Clifton harbour. Before or after lunch, take a short sail to Chatham Bay, a large and quiet bay to the West of Union. Dinner on the beach in a small rustic restaurant.

Kitesurfari Day 3: Early in the morning, we set sail to Salt Whistle Bay on the neighboring island of Mayreau. This picture perfect bay with palm trees has calm water on one side of the beach and waves and wind on the atlantic side: this is the favorite for many of our repeat guests. The wind is sturdy there  and once again, the water crystal clear.

Kitesurfari Day 4: It is another short sail to the Tobago Cays; arguably the most beautiful area of the Caribbean. The sheer beauty of this place will make you never want to leave. The whole island group is a Marine National Park, and is completely protected by the “World's End Reef” and the “Horseshoe Reef”. Some of the most exciting diving and snorkeling ever can be experienced here. You will spend the whole day in this archipelago with excursions to several of the inhabited islands, swimming with turtles, ending the day with another wonderful sunset followed by a dinner onboard. In this location there is virtually no light pollution whatsoever and your captain may invite all guests up on deck for a night cap and an evening of the most amazing stargazing. Kiting is not allowed anymore from used to be our launch pad. However, you can try to launch from the boat: it requires a bit of experience...

Kitesurfari Day 5: It is hard to leave this Paradise but our next stops is not bad neither. After lunch, we’ll sail pass Palm Island on our way to Morpion just off Petit St Vincent Island. This tiny sand bank is well known as the only sign of man there is a rustic umbrella: A great spot to launch. We spend the night in front of the very exclusive PSV resort and usually have dinner onboard as the only restaurant ashore is quite pricy!

Kitesurfari Day 6: Today is the downwinder from PSV to Horny Bay on the other side of Union Island. A man made wave breaker is stretched from the point to Sugar Bread Island. Once moored on the inside, the water is glassy flat and, 15 feet up in the air, the wind is blowing 20 knots: that’s why we called it Horny Bay! We’ll stay there for the night and most of the next day...

Kitesurfari Day 7: Back to Union Island in the afternoon to proceed with customs and immigration clearance and prepare for the sail back to Tobago. Dinner ashore or onboard. Overnight sail to Pigeon Point.

Kitesurfari Day 8: We should get there just in time for breakfast and after the mandatory check in at customs and immigration, back to the boat, pump the kites up and ride pigeon point for the rest of the day. In the mean time, the captain will take the yacht to No-man’s Land where the last lunch will be served before docking the yacht at the Lagoon Lodge. Check out will be at 3.30pm.
